Licensing and commercial use

Everything you generate on StockPhotos.it is yours to use commercially. This page says what that covers in plain language; the Terms are the controlling document.
What the licence allows
Broad, perpetual and royalty-free.
- ['Commercial use', 'Advertising, marketing, packaging, editorial, presentations, social, print and web, paid and organic.']
- ['Modification', 'Crop, retouch, composite, colour-grade and combine with other work.']
- ['No attribution', 'Credit is welcome and never required.']
- ['Perpetual', 'The licence does not expire and there are no per-use or per-impression fees.']
Why no model release is needed
Because there is no model.
- ['Generated, not photographed', 'Every person depicted is generated and does not portray a real individual, so there is no personality or publicity right to clear.']
- ['No re-clearing', 'A campaign that extends into a new market or medium does not need the talent re-contracted.']
What is not allowed
The limits are narrow but real.
- ['Real people', 'Do not use the service to generate imagery of an identifiable real person, or present generated imagery as a photograph of one.']
- ['Misleading use', 'Do not present generated imagery as documentary or news photography of an actual event.']
- ['Unlawful content', 'Anything unlawful, and anything sexualising or endangering minors, is prohibited outright and refused at generation.']
- ['Resale as stock', 'You may use the images in your work. Reselling them unmodified as a competing stock library is not covered.']
Common questions
Can I use these in paid advertising?
Yes. Advertising and marketing use is covered on every plan, including free.
Do I own the copyright?
You hold a broad, perpetual, royalty-free licence to use the output commercially. See the Terms for the precise grant.
Can my client use it too?
Yes. Work delivered to a client carries the same permissions.
Is a release ever required?
Not for generated people. If you composite a photograph of a real person into an image, that person's release is your responsibility.
